Turn Your Passion into a Career

The Divemaster program is your first step into the professional world of diving. 

Gain in-depth dive knowledge and become an ambassador for the underwater world. 

To get started, you’ll need at least 40 logged dives and certifications in Deep Diving, Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility (or equivalent experience in these areas), plus Diver Stress & Rescue.

After completing the program, you’ll be certified as a Dive Guide. 

If you want to go further – leading certified divers, assisting instructors, teaching ecology courses, or even becoming an instructor. 

You can upgrade to Divemaster by completing the Science of Diving course and reaching 60 logged dives. This certification marks you as an SSI Professional, opening up new opportunities in the dive industry.

Assist in SSI courses, guide dives with Open Water students, and learn the ins and outs of daily dive center operations. Expect hands-on experience with real customers, loads of dives, and expert guidance from our experienced instructors.

With experienced multilingual instructors guiding you every step of the way, you’ll progress at your own pace. 

Training begins in the calm, shallow waters of the swimming pool before moving to the warm, tropical seas of Khao Lak for 4 unforgettable open water dives.

Your open water dives take place at Khao Na Yak Reef and TOR 13, an artificial reef featuring a sunken vessel, cargo trucks, and reef cuboids, providing a thriving habitat for marine life.

Upon completion, you’ll earn the globally recognized SSI Open Water Diver certification, allowing you to dive up to 18 meters with a buddy anywhere around the world.

    E-Learning

    We now offer E-Learning for the SSI Advanced Open Water Course. This allows you to complete the theory portion online with SSI, reducing classroom time and giving you more time to focus on diving.

    All you need is a computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access. 

    Engaging videos, modern graphics, and interactive animations make learning fun and flexible—you choose when to study each module.

    Your progress is tracked, and we’ll receive notifications as you advance. You’ll spend only a short time in the classroom to review key concepts, clarify any questions, and take the final exam.

    SSI’s online training is free!
